Held at The Quality Inn & Conference Centre, Pembroke Ontario

December 6th - 10th 2026

$490 (plus your stay)

Quilters and hand-stitchery enthusiasts alike will be warmly welcomed by their host, Barb, owner of The Needle & Thread Emporium and her husband, Dan.  We invite you to join us for a fun-filled, relaxing creative getaway. Whether your passion lies in hand stitchery, embroidery or quilting, you’ll find a welcoming atmosphere here. Join us with friends or come solo and forge new connections! On the first day, you will be greeted with a personalized swag bag brimming with delightful surprises. Each morning (days2 ,3 & 4) you’ll discover a special gift waiting at your station that our Retreat Fairy left for you. You’ll adore our venue—it’s inviting, cozy, and perfectly illuminated! If you still require more lighting there are so many outlets! As I have added an extra day for this retreat I opted to include 1 catered lunch and 2 catered dinners to help with costs. The catered lunch and dinners promise to be delicious (see below which meals/days are catered). Meals not catered, you can try a local restaurant! I will have a list of my faves! Do you need little snacks while immersing yourself in your craft? We’ll have a grazing table available for mid-morning, afternoon, and evening treats. A beverage bar featuring tea, coffee, and water will be available throughout the retreat hours to keep you going and hydrated. Have some laughs and stretch your legs when we play our retreat games and Barb's Spin-To-Win, you may be lucky enough to win a prize or Dan's Retreat Bucks! We will have ironing and cutting stations set up plus a design wall for your convenience. Don't stress if you forget something! We will have our Pop Up Shop filled to the brim! Shop for notions, fabrics, patterns and so much more!

 If choosing to book a room you will not be disappointed. The rooms are clean and cozy plus have 2 comfy beds. Save money and share with a friend, split the flat rate! Also included with your stay is breakfast. Take a break from crafting and take a dip in the indoor pool or warm your bones in the sauna (included with booked room). Please do not book your room until you have registered for our retreat and receive confirmation.

    RETREAT ADD-ONS:  These will be available after retreat registration. Info/instructions will be emailed to you once Retreat Registration Closes. Workshop(s) will be extra cost and available to register at a later date.

As of right now I was guaranteed a Block Room Rate pricing of $165/night (can have up to 4 adults in same room for this price). You may get a better rate when you call to book.

    Retreat Itinerary

    DAY 1

    12:30 - Arrival is NO EARLIER then 12:30. Meet and Greet. Receive your name tag/Swag Bag / Set up your station

    Supper will be on your own this evening at one of the many restaurants in Pembroke of your choosing

    9-9:30pm - Retreat closes for the evening. Or until last person leaves before this time.

    DAY 2

    7:30 am - Retreat Opens

    12:30 - Lunch (catered)

    5:30 - Supper On your own

    9-9:30pm - Retreat Closes for the evening. Or until last person leaves before this time

    DAY 3

    7:30 am - Retreat Opens

    Lunch on your own

    5:30 - Supper (Catered)

    9-9:30pm - Retreat Closes for the evening. Or until last person leaves before this time.

    DAY 4

    7:30 am - Retreat Opens

    Lunch on your own

    5:30 - Supper (catered)

    9-9:30pm - Retreat Closes for the evening. Or until last person leaves before this time.

    DAY 5

    7:30 am - Retreat Opens/Farewells/Pack/Load

    1pm - Venue to be vacated by 1pm

     

     To Register:

    1. Print the Retreat Registration Form (located at link below - Registration Form)

    2. Fill out and return to the following email or in person at the store along with $115  deposit. Deposit can be e-transferred to the following email or paid by cash in store.

    3. You will then receive a confirmation email once we reserve your spot. If we are full by the time you register you will receive a full refund for your deposit.

    Refund Policy:

    • $115 deposit is non-refundable

    • If cancelled by November 1st - Balance is refundable minus a $25 administration fee.
    • After November 1st balance is non-refundable. 
    • If you need to cancel after November 1st and I am able to fill your spot from our waitlist you will be refunded for your balance minus a $25 administration fee.
