Needle Turn Applique Workshop - BEGINNER FRIENDLY
Registration Opens January 3 2026
Join us for a hands-on Needle Turn Appliqué Workshop instructed by the award winning Janis Johnston. This workshop will guide participants through the traditional art of needle turn appliqué, focusing on smooth curves, sharp points, and beautifully turned edges. Janis will share her expert tips, techniques, and personal insights, making this class welcoming for beginners and intermediate. Expect a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere filled with learning, laughter, and the satisfaction of watching your fabric pieces come together stitch by stitch into something truly special.
You’ll be working on Joan Dorsay’s Cockscomb and Currants design, a beautifully detailed 27" × 27" quilt block. Have fun bringing this project to life, and don’t be afraid to play with colour to truly make it your own.
