I loved designing and then making the actual quilt using mainly the Kaffe Fassett Collective fabrics. I also enjoy designing quilts with portable units, so this one fits the bill. The large centre blocks are of my favourite animals and each is bordered by motifs such as fruits and things that are just things that took my fancy when I drew them. The borders are also of blocks, rectangular ones, filled with pots with botanically impossible plants. FInished size is 90" x 90"

REQUIREMENTS:

• 8 yards  (based on 40" width) for the background fabric
• various printed fabrics for applique
• notions, backing and binding
