"Mandala-My-Heart" Workshop - Intermediate

A wonderful workshop for the Intermediate Embroiderer. This is a next step to the Strata Sampler for Beginners workshop. Here we will use approximately 7 stitches to create this beautiful Mandala block that I designed. You may not finish your Mandala by the end of the workshop but you will go home with the confidence to continue to the finish. If you are interested in this workshop you must be confident in basic embroidery and know how to stitch a Back Stitch, Running Stitch and Chain Stitch.  You will learn a Colonial Knot, Berry Stitch, Short/Long and Couching. You will work with Perle Cottons and Silk or Crewel Wool If you are a beginner please consider signing up for my Strata Sampler Workshop first!

When:

Every Tuesday from  9:30 - 12. This workshop has an open start. Meaning there is no set start date. Once you register you will have 4 consecutive Tuesday morning classes. Attendees will be notified via email with any date adjustments that may arise by myself for such reasons as inclement weather, illness, vacation etc etc). I will always try and give adequate notice if I need to reschedule for any given reason.

Workshop Will Include:

• 4 sessions (9:30-12)
• pattern
• pre-printed Essex Linen
• Highest end hand dyed threads. Enough thread to finish your block (as long as there is not excessive waste). **Not exact matches to samples but similar**
• Muslin for backing your embroidery
• coffee, tea, snack

DOES NOT INCLUDE:

• practice threads
• practice fabric
• notions (scissors, needles etc)
