"Not Quite a Thousand Leaves"
Designed by Kim McLean
This quilt was inspired by a photo of an antique one in the Philadelphia Museum. Before I started doing commercial patterns of my quilts, I drew up the design based on this beautiful photo, though my border’s vines were tighter than the original and the quilt size was also different. Despite the many leaves, I enjoyed cutting up the pieces and stitching them. Over the years, there have been many requests for me to do an easy beginner type of quilt and I thought this second version of my Leaves quilt would be a good one to do. I think, once you’ve finished stitching this quilt, you’ll be an expert at applique and also having cut so many leaves, you’ll get a sense of what to do with those gorgeous large print fabrics! Enjoy!
Finished quilt size is 92" x 92"
