Soie 1003 is made in France by Au Ver a Soie, is a 3 ply highly twisted spun silk with a strong twisting. It can be easily processed by hand and on the sewing machine. The gloss is medium. This yarn is particularly popular with "needle sharpeners" and "stump work enthusiasts". Hand dyed, not hand over dyed by Tentakulum Painters Threads. Soie 1003 comes in all 40 of Painters Threads colourways.
